Welcome to Smokey Bear's BBQ, Corbin, Kentucky's new premier BBQ hotspot. Whether you want a pulled pork sandwich, some smoked chicken, hand-crafted and never frozen, secretly seasoned burgers, or a delicious rack of ribs, we can provide! We make all of our BBQ  to order, smoked on location with hickory for over 14 hours, with a secret recipe of spices!


We also offer our signature Smokey Sweet! Homemade BBQ sauce!  In addition,  we have Spicy Sweet and our Sweet Mustard BBQ sauces.

What is the Smokey Bear’s story?

Smokey Bear’s BBQ is locally owned and operated by a former Police Officer and his wife, Barry and Leanne Mays. After years of being titled as “Smokey Bear” by the public, he decided to carry that name over to his dream of running his own business and serving happiness on a plate. With years of experience cooking outside, and years of experience of pursuing the perfect BBQ (while not pursuing suspects), the time has come to share all that love and passion for good food with the world!

 

 

What kind of sauce do we use?

You can’t find this stuff anywhere else because we make it ourselves! No other place around does it the same way we do it. We believe that if you are going to sell BBQ then you should have your very own sauce to compliment your meat. No shortcuts, never out of a bottle! We spent weeks perfecting our sauce to match our style of cooking. We believe our “made from scratch” sauces are a perfect match!

 

 

What is the Pink Color you may see in our meat?

This pink color is known as a “Smoke Ring” and it is an indication of a “Low and Slow” cooking process done with a hickory wood-fired smoker and is what gives our meat its UNIQUE FLAVOR. Some folks confuse this pink meat with undercooked meat, but nothing could be further from the truth. Our meat is FULLY COOKED AND WELL DONE. You may also see small pieces of black in the meat. This is known as the “Bark” and it is not burnt meat. This is the outer crust and the “Seasoned Rub” placed on the meat before being cooked in our smoker for 12 to 15 long hours.

The “JAILBREAKER”                 5.49
Smokey Bear’s signature BBQ sandwich! Served on a toasted Kaiser Bun that is buttered and seasoned before being loaded with crunchy bacon. Piled high with tender pulled pork, topped off with crispy fried onion tanglers and our special homemade ranch dressing and our signature BBQ sauce. Add a hamburger patty to this treat for only $1.50 more.

Regular BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich     2.99
Tender slow cooked pulled pork on a 4 inch bun.

Almost twice the amount of slow cooked pulled pork piled up on a 5 inch bun.
