Kentucky takes The bite out of Gators 89-77
Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 8:20AM The Kentucky Wildcats silenced the doubters Tuesday night, with an impressive 89-77 win over the Florida Gators. This is a team that has ability to make a run to the Final Four and challenge Kansas and Texas for the national championship.
While it was true the Cats had not been tested on the road against strong SEC teams, last night they gave all True Blue Fans a reason for their confidence, in this mostly freshman team.
Florida's Gators made a great run at Ky. but simply lacked the strength inside to get the job done, along with not being able to hit from the perimeter, except for a brilliant 3-point showcase from sophomore Erving Walker, 5-8 during the second half
The Wildcats responded to everything the Gators were able to bring at them, including the ability to tie the game with a blistering 14-1 run. Eric Bledsoe took center stage to start the game for the Cats but as always John Wall was the closer.
.
Bledsoe lead the Wildcats in scoring with 25 points while Wall had 19, and Patrick Patterson added 15 as Kentucky finished, shooting 51.4 percent. Florida only managed to shoot 38 percent, and never had a chance in the final minute.
If you had doubts about these Wildcats ability before Tuesday, you have no excuse now. These Cats can make a run at a National Championship
