The University of Kentucky has been selected as one of the four sites for this year's NCAA Volleyball Regional matchups
Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 8:18AM The University of Kentucky has been selected as one of the four sites for this year's NCAA Volleyball Regional matchups! One team from the Lexington Regional will advance to the NCAA Women's Volleyball Final Four on December 15th and 17th in San Antonio, Texas! Lexington Regional matches are scheduled for 5:00 and 7:00 pm on Friday, December 9th and 4:30 pm on Saturday, December 10th.
Team selection for the NCAA Tournament will be on Sunday, November 27th at 6:00 pm on ESPNU. First and Second round competition will be December 2nd-4th. UK must qualify and advance to participate in the Lexington Regional.
With less than three weeks until the Lexington Regional, it's time to get your tickets now. Each day leading up to the matches on December 9th a winner will be chosen from the orders placed and that winner will receive a free commemorative mini volleyball. If you've already purchased your tickets, you've been entered into the drawing. If you have not yet purchased your tickets, you may do so by contacting the UK ticket office at (800) 928-2287 or by filling out the order form here.
Reserved all-session tickets are priced at $14 for all ages. General admission all-session tickets are $12 for adults (13+), $8 for UK students and senior citizens, and $4 for youth (ages 3-12). Group all-session rates are available for groups of 20+ by calling the UK Ticket Office. For more regional information, you may check out UKathletics.com. NCAA Youth Volleyball Clinic - December 10 1:30 pm-3:30 pm at Alumni Gym
An NCAA Youth Clinic will be offered for volleyball on December 10th from 1:30 pm-3:30 pm at Alumni Gym next to the student center on Avenue of Champions on University of Kentucky's campus. This is a community outreach program that connects kids ages 8-14 with the volleyball championships and provides them with resources designed to have a lasting impact. Participants receive sport instruction from NCAA coaches and student-athletes and get valuable information on fitness, healthy lifestyles and sportsmanship. The clinics also feature a session for parents and guardians with information on recruiting, academic and eligibility issues.
