The Winter Jam Tour Spectacular, Christian music's largest annual tour and Pollstar's #1 tour in attendance for the first quarter of this year, announced its highly anticipated 2012 artist and city line-up during a special launch event held earlier this year in Nashville.

Founded and hosted by Grammy®-nominated Christian music mainstay NewSong and produced by Premier Productions, the Winter Jam 2012 Tour Spectacular will be headlined by Grammy®- nominated alternative rockers Skillet. The 47-city tour will also feature Sanctus Real, former Newsboys frontman Peter Furler, Kari Jobe, Building 429, Group 1 Crew, illusionist Brock Gill, and national speaker Nick Hall. In addition, the OneVerse Pre-Jam Party will include performances from Dara Maclean, For King & Country, and We As Human. VeggieTales' Bob and Larry will also make a special appearance.

Live Nation announced that due to popular demand they are raising the roof of Rupp Arena (or more like the curtain) for the last stop on Brad Paisley's winter tour. There will be more tickets made available, most are in the $25.00 price level.

Paisley decided to change the name of the tour during the rehearsals in the month of December. The Virtual Reality Tour lives up to its name and then some with laser lights zapping hither and yon, and fantastic special effects such as 3-D video screens.

Singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert has rescheduled this weekend’s shows of her “On Fire” Tour, due to the death of her father-in-law, Dick Shelton who passed away Tuesday in Oklahoma.. Miranda, wife of singer and star of “The Voice,” Blake Shelton, has rescheduled Charlotte, NC (1/19), Lexington, KY (1/20) and Greensboro, NC (1/21). Mr. Shelton, who had been in declining health for the past year, was surrounded by loved ones upon his passing.

 Miranda said, “Thank you to the fans for all the support and prayers. This is a really difficult time for our family and the most important thing is being together. Tell your loved ones you love them. See you next week”

UK Plays Final Game Before Holiday Break

The Wildcats welcome the Loyola Greyhounds in their final game before the Holiday break. Kentucky looks to extend its home-court winning streak to 41 after posting an 82-50 win over Samford on Tuesday.

UK had four players score in double-figures led by Doron Lamb's season and game-high 26 points. Darius Miller chipped in 17, while Marquis Teague added 14 and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist 10.

Anthony Davis pulled down a game-high nine rebounds and Kentucky outrebounded Samford, 38-22.

Davis also finished with five blocks, the fifth time this season he's posted five or more blocked shots

Scouting Report

Located in Baltimore, Md., (576 miles east of Lexington), Loyola is a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

The Greyhounds enter off a 76-66 loss at St. Bonaventure on Sunday, but have won four of their last five.

Loyola has four players averaging double-digits led by Dylor Cormier's 16.8 ppg average. Erik Etherly, who ranks second in scoring (12.4 ppg) leads the Greyhounds in rebounding (7.6) and field goal percentage (52.1).

The Greyhounds are coached by Jimmy Patsos who is in his eighth year as a head coach, all at Loyola. Last season, the Greyhounds recorded a two-game improvement over the year before, finishing 2010-2011 with a 15-15 overall record and 10-8 mark in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The team played its best basketball of the season after the New Year dawned, going 7-2 in the month of January.

Loyola advanced to the MAAC Quarterfinals in 2010-2011, and three of the team's players earned postseason conference awards. Shane Walker was named to the All-MAAC Third Team, while Justin Drummond earned MAAC All-Rookie honors. J'hared Hall also became Loyola's first-ever winner of the MAAC Sixth-Player of the Year Award.
Series History

This is the first meeting between Kentucky and Loyola.

The Wildcats face the fourth and final first-time opponent in the regular season posting a 3-0 record in the first three games.

Kentucky is 32-4 against first-time opponents over the last nine seasons.
