Kentucky father forgets baby in grocery cart, now case headed to social services?
Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 7:26AM NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. --A Kentucky Dad Loading three kids and groceries forgot to do one thing, load his 6-month-old baby.
Another couple found the baby a few minutes later and took the baby back in the store and called the local authorities.
Kevin Grimes, a Nicholasville police officer, said the father quickly figured out he forgot the baby and was already headed back after calling the police himself.
Kevin Grimes said the man was "totally distraught" about the mistake. The case will be handed over to social services even though no charges will be filed.
