Limited number of Bengals playoff tickets go on sale This morning

A very limited amount of tickets arrived at Paul Brown Stadium on Wednesday for Saturday's playoff game against the Houston Texans. They were available to players first, followed by season ticket holders.

The Bengals ticket office says that less than 100 tickets were available. The tickets arrived at 9 a.m. and became available at noon.  Bengals fan Christopher Day, of Amelia, waited all night in freezing temperatures to nab some tickets, and succeeded, getting four.

Shortly after, the Bengals sold out.  As of Wednesday evening, though, we're told they have a few more on their hands, and those will go on sale to the public Thursday morning at 9 a.m., until they sell out or the ticket office closes at 2 p.m. The price is $60.

Charlie Strong and the U of L Cards will be traveling to Charlotte, NC on December 27th for the Belk Bowl.We hope you are able to travel with the Cards as well.

Please follow each of these steps to order your game tickets. Ticket orders received by Friday, December 9th at NOON Any orders after that point will be assigned first-come, first-served.

    Log into your My Cardinal Account by visiting www.uoflsports.com.Once on the webpage, scroll to Tickets and select My Cardinal Account from the new drop down menu.

Please enter your account ID (email address or CAF #) and password.If you do not know your email address on your account, your account ID, or your password, please contact the ticket office at 502-852-5151.Your ID and password are listed on past invoices.You must log in with your current account ID to ensure your priority points are reflected on your purchase.If you have not purchased tickets through U of L previously, enter your email under "I don't have an account".

        After logging in, scroll to the bottom and select Quick Buy.

        Select the number of seats per price category. Select "Add to Cart".Select ANY and ALL price levels you are interested in purchasing. (There are a limited number of $90 tickets.The majority of our allotment is the $70 tickets.)

        Review your shopping cart and select go to "Go to Checkout".
        Select Will Call as your delivery method and click "Continue".

        Two payment options are listed.  YOU MUST SELECT BOWL GAME PAYMENT PLAN as your payment method and click "Continue". (Please note: the total due will be for all selections.You will only be charged for the tickets in the price category you are assigned).

        Select Amount Due Today.Enter your billing information and click "Purchase Tickets".

        A confirmation email will be sent to you.

        It is imperative that you select ANY AND ALL price levels you are interested in purchasing. Based on your priority points, you will be assigned your highest price selection if available.There are a limited number of tickets within each price category.If we are unable to accommodate you with one price level, you must have another selection in order to accommodate and fulfill your request.

·Ex: If you select $90, $70, and $40, if your priority points allow and tickets are available, you will receive the $90 priced tickets.If $90 tickets aren't available, you will receive $70 tickets.

·Ex: If you only select $90 tickets and we do not have availability with your priority points, you will not receive any priced tickets.Again, please select any and all prices you are interested in receiving.

Being bowl-eligible doesn’t necessarily mean bowl bound for WKU Hilltoppers football

WKU football spokesman Todd Stewart said the Hilltoppers (7-5, 7-1 Sun Belt) had not received a bowl invitation as of Monday and might not know their postseason fate until Saturday at the earliest. He said that the university is talking with numerous bowls, which he declined to name, but that those bowls are waiting to see the outcome of this week’s games.

“There is an unprecedented level of excitement on our campus,” he said. “We’re like a horse in the starting gate. We’re ready to run. We just need somebody to open the gate.”

WKU, which could clinch a share of the conference title if Troy beats Arkansas State on Saturday, is one of four bowl-eligible Sun Belt teams along with Arkansas State (9-2), Louisiana-Lafayette (9-3) and Florida International (8-4). The league sent three schools to bowl games last season — the most since the inception of Sun Belt football in 2001.

The Sun Belt’s two bowl-game tie-ins have been taken with Arkansas State accepting a bid to play in the GoDaddy.com Bowl and Louisiana-Lafayette going to the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. That leaves WKU hoping for an at-large bid.  Read Full Article>>>
