Laurel County Schools Superintendent, David Young, resigned this morning following a DUI arrest this weekend.

Young was arrested Saturday when police found him in his wrecked car off Highway 25 near London. Police say his blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.

Daivd Young School Superintendent In Laurel County Busted For DUI and Resisting Arrest

Police say they have arrested the school superintendent in Laurel County.

David Young is now behind bars, charged with drinking while driving and resisting arrest.

Police say Young was involved in a crash where he ran off the road two miles south of London.

The incident remains under investigation.

LEX 18 could not reach the school system's spokesperson for comment.
