The University of the Cumberlands lose first game of the New Year

The University of the Cumberlands men's basketball team lost a very physical battle to Indiana University Southeast on Saturday afternoon. The l72-78 loss dropped  the Patriots to 10-4 on the season. 

The #7 Grenadiers considered the win  revenge for a  83-64 Patriots  win on November 2, 2009 in Williamsburg, Kentucky during both team's first game of the season.

Cumberlands entered Saturday's game ranked #9 in the most recent NAIA Division I Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

The Patriots will be back on the court Saturday January 9, 2010 as they host World Baptist College. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
